Political Advertising That Gets Your Message Seen

Your campaign has a message. I help take it to the right audience.

Politics is no longer limited to rallies, posters, newspapers and television. People discover candidates, discuss issues, watch speeches and follow campaign updates online every day.

I help candidates, representatives, campaign teams and political organisations build digital advertising and communication strategies across social media and online platforms, within Election Commission and platform rules.

Campaign check

Your campaign is online. But is your message reaching people?

Political campaigns can have strong ground-level activity and still struggle with digital visibility.

What a campaign needs

A campaign shouldn't simply be visible online.

Your communication needs to be clear, consistent, timely and relevant.

Not a regular commercial campaign

Every political campaign is different. So is every strategy.

I build digital advertising strategies around these factors instead of treating political advertising like a regular commercial campaign.

The rules every Indian political ad must follow

Political advertising online is regulated by the Election Commission of India and by each platform. I plan campaigns around these requirements from day one.

MCMC pre-certification

The ECI requires political advertisements on electronic media, including social media, to be pre-certified by the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee before release.

Election Commission of India instructions

Meta: authorisation + “Paid for by”

Ads about social issues, elections or politics need advertiser authorisation and a “Paid for by” disclaimer, and are kept in the public Ad Library for seven years.

Meta Advertising Standards

Google: verification + EC certificate

Election ads in India require advertiser verification and a pre-certificate for each ad, and are listed in Google's political ads transparency report.

Google Ads political content policy (India)

Social media spend is campaign expenditure

Payments to platforms and spending on content creation for social media count toward the candidate's election expenditure and must be accounted for. Candidates also declare their social media accounts.

ECI instructions on social media (2013)

48-hour silence period

Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 bars displaying election matter through electronic media in the 48 hours ending with the close of polling. Platforms follow this under the IAMAI Voluntary Code of Ethics.

RP Act 1951, s.126

Disclose AI or altered content

Meta and Google require political advertisers to disclose realistic digitally created or altered images, video or audio. Content must be accurate and transparent.

Meta & Google political ads disclosure rules

Rules are updated before elections. I verify the current ECI, Meta and Google requirements before each campaign. This is guidance, not legal advice.

Your campaign needs more than advertising

A campaign isn't won by an ad dashboard. My role is the digital side.

Digital advertising is one part of a much larger campaign ecosystem. All of it needs to communicate consistently.

Why work with me?

Organised, measurable and consistent

I approach political advertising from a digital marketing and communication perspective, so the campaign is organised, measurable and consistent from the first post to polling day.

“What ad should we run?”→I ask:
What are we trying to communicate?
Who needs to see it?
What format will communicate it best?
Where should it be distributed?
How are people responding?
What should we improve next?

Build visibility. Communicate clearly. Stay consistent.

Frequently asked questions

Questions business owners ask

What is political advertising?

Political advertising is paid digital communication used by candidates, political organisations or campaigns to communicate campaign-related information to an audience.

Do you manage political social media advertising?

I can support political digital advertising and campaign communication where the relevant platform allows it and all required eligibility, authorization and disclosure requirements are met.

Can you create political campaign creatives?

Yes. Campaign creatives can include social media posts, videos, Reels, announcements, event creatives, candidate content and other campaign communication materials.

Can you manage regional-language campaigns?

Yes. Digital campaigns can be structured for regional audiences and multilingual communication, including Tamil and English.

Can you target a specific constituency?

Geographic targeting may be available depending on the platform and campaign type, but political advertising has additional platform restrictions and requirements that must be checked before launch.

Can you run political ads on Meta?

Political advertising is subject to Meta's current policies, eligibility and authorization requirements. Campaigns must comply with those requirements before advertising can be launched.

Can you guarantee election results?

No. No digital marketer can ethically guarantee an election result. My role is to help improve the campaign's digital communication, visibility, content distribution and measurable online performance.

Can political campaigns use AI-generated content?

The use of AI-generated or manipulated content can be subject to platform-specific rules and disclosure requirements. Campaign content should be reviewed for accuracy, transparency and compliance before publication.
